New Airbus stickers getting rare!

E-mail Print PDF

As you might have been noticed the latest issues of Airbus stickers became sold out very quick and obviously getting quite
rare. This development could be seen since November 2010 when i.e. the Turkish Airlines A330-300 and AirPhil Express
A320 stickers became sold out on the day they became available in the shop.

The reason is, that the process of ordering Airbus stickers for the Airbus shop in Hamburg (XFW) has been delegated to
another department, because of the retirement of the former buyer. But unfortunately the people now being in charge of the
order process do not put much interests in the collectors need.

Currently Airbus in Hamburg orders only 100 pcs. of each sticker and most probably they are sold out on the same day.

But there is more: Rumors said, that there are plans to raise the price for the stickers. It's easy to see that the stickers lost
their status within the company since a new generation is at the controls. Remember that Airbus stickers exists since the
1970's - almost 40 years!

Again two more stickers have been printed in France and given to the airline only. And again none of those stickers were sold by the Airbus shops.

The stickers are dedicated to the new Swiss International Air Lines A320 and the delivery of the first A330-300 to Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Follow the links above for pictures and more details.

Three of the stickers which previously only have been handed out to the airlines became available in the Airbus shop in Hamburg (XFW) on June 9th

in small amounts of 100 each. The sticker were the two above and the Edelweiss A330-300.

Hot news from France and Switzerland!

Two rare stickers have been discovered during the past couple of months: Olympic Air A320 and the new Edelweiss Air A330-300. The greece sticker should be from the end of 2009 or early 2010 when Olympic Air received some brandnew A320s while the swiss A330-300 has been given to Edelweiss Air this February during delivery of their new aircraft.

The stickers were not issued to the public. So it will be quite difficult the find them for your collection.

Follow the links above for a detailed view.

New stickers - 17. February 2011

Six more stickers issued by Airbus recently after more than 3 months:

A lot to tell this time:

The ANZ A320 is really a beauty wearing special "All Blacks" colors of the national Rugby team. You will also find additional text on the sticker indicate that this is also the "First Delivery to Air Lease Corporation".

Well, didn't Airbus already issue the CAL A330-300 sticker back in 2004? Yes indeed, but the latest sticker has a slightly different colour and a glossy finish.

The MAS A330-300 is wearing the new livery with the latest style of aircraft paintings.

Even though the RJA A340-600 sticker is clearly pointing out that this is a government aircraft (upper titles: "The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan") I have listed that sticker under the Royal Jordanian chapter, because that aircraft is operated by RJA for the government.

Last but not least the new SAA A330-200 and SWR A321 stickers showing their regular colours schemes.

Follow the links above to learn more about the new stickers.
